Helion Documentation
Helion is an open-source product analytics platform — self-hosted, cookieless, and built for developers who need full ownership of their data pipeline.
What is Helion?
Helion is an open-source analytics platform that gives you complete visibility into how users interact with your product — without sacrificing data ownership or privacy.
Unlike SaaS analytics tools, Helion runs on your infrastructure. Every event, every user profile, every session — stored in your database, queryable by your code, and never shared with a third party.
In the AI era, your event data is more than a dashboard metric. It is training signal. Helion is built to be the data layer that feeds both your product decisions and your intelligent agents.

Privacy and data ownership
Helion is designed on the principle that analytics infrastructure should belong to the people who build the products:
- No cookies required — cookieless tracking by default, no consent banners needed
- GDPR and CCPA compliant — data stays where you put it
- Self-hosting option — run on any VPS, Kubernetes cluster, or cloud provider
- Open schema — your ClickHouse tables, your queries, your exports
